Police arrest student for killing wife

A 34-year old man  Danusa Jimoh has been arrested by men 0f Ekiti State Command for allegedly killing  his wife, Mope during  a fracas
Danusa, a 400-level  Public Administration  student of Ekiti State University,  snuffed life out of his 31 years spouse Mope, who hails from Ipoti Ekiti,Ekiti State
Nobody could adduce reasons why the man decided to murder his partner as  the two couple were said to always  engaged each other in fisticuffs.
Weekend Vanguard gathered that  the latest clash has to do with  Danusa’s refusal to fund Mope’s father’s burial ceremony
Danusa was said to have committed the offense on July 3, 2012 at Are Ekiti in Irepodun/Ifelodun  Local Government Area of the State
Danusa, who hails from Okeyi, Okene in Kogi State,  was said to have hit hard on Mope, who later fell on the ground and hit her head against  a hard object
The deceased who left a child behind  was said to have been unconscious  and efforts to revive her when she was  rushed to the hospital  failed.
While being paraded in Ado Ekiti Friday, the State Police Commissioner , Mr Sotonye Wakama, said the remains of the victim had been deposited at the morgue of  Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital(EKSUTH) in Ado Ekiti.
The CP explained that  the command is expecting Autopsy Report from medical experts to so as to know the charges that would be slammed against Danusa for allegedly killing his wife. The Police boss explained that preliminary investigations conducted by the Police revealed that Danusa and Mope had been living a cat and dog’s life before the sad event took place .When quizzed further  by  pressmen
Meanwhile,  Police has equally  paraded another 39-year old armed bandit and car snatching  kingpin and a native of Isan Ekiti in Oye Local Government Area, DeleAjayi for allegedly snatched a Golf Volkswagen Car and killed the owner the car.During the incident,  which happened  on May 18, 2012 at Akonnasan , a dangerous bend along Ado-Iyin Road, an officer of the Command, who ran into the robbers was critically wounded and his service pistol stolen
The suspect during interrogation, also confessed to the robbery of June 5, 2012 , which occurred at OdeEkiti , where a Toyota Highlander Jeep was snatched at gunpoint and occupants traumatized
